Apple has publicly urged iPhone and iPad users to install the latest 14.4 update immediately. In the iOS 14.4 update, Apple has patched three major security flaws that are actively being exploited by potential hackers. One of these flaws could allow an attacker full access to your device from your web browser.

The good news is that you can easily update your devices now by following these steps:

  • Click on Settings
  • Scroll down to General
  • Select Software Update
  • Your device will automatically check for updates.
  • If your device has not been automatically updated to 14.4, click download and install.

This install will take roughly 30-45 minutes to complete. We recommend plugging in your device while it installs.

Older iOS devices like an iPhone 6, iPhone 5, or older are not supported and, unfortunately, will not receive this update and will remain vulnerable/unsafe for personal or business use.

If you have any questions or need help updating, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Eder Casella Technology Help Desk for assistance.
